Alan Sani
Alan coordinated the MIND study in 2022. In July 2022 he left UCSF to pursue other research opportunities. Samuel Wilson
Samuel supported the MIND Study from 2020 to 2022. In January 2022, Sam moved to Buenos Aires, Argentina to study Spanish before beginning medical school in the fall. Torie Tsuei
Torie managed the International NeuroHIV Cure Consortium imaging archive at UCSF from 2019 to 2021. In summer 2021 she transitioned to working on projects with the Boxer and Kramer Labs at the Memory & Aging Center. Benedetta Milanini
Benedetta was a member of the Valcour Lab from 2014 to 2021. During this time she published numerous papers focused on cognition in HIV and led neuropsychological interpretation for several aging studies. In 2021, she moved to Basel, Switzerland to serve as a consultant at Inovigate. Shayanne Martin
Shayanne was Program Manager for the International NeuroHIV Cure Consortium from 2017 to 2020. She is now a program manager and technical advisor in the UCSF Institute for Global Health Sciences. Madeline Hillis
In the Valcour Lab, Madeline coordinated both the HIV Elders Study and the MIND Study. She left the lab in summer 2020 to travel and prepare for graduate school. Karen Chen
Karen left her role coordinating the MIND study in summer 2019 to begin medical school at A. T. Still University. Brijesh Sharma
Brijesh coordinated the HIV Elders study during his time in the Valcour Lab. He left in 2019 to study medicine at the Western University of Health Sciences. Kevin Chang
Before beginning medical school at the University of Iowa Carver College of Medicine in summer 2019, Kevin conducted neuroimaging analyses in the Valcour Lab. Vishal Samboju
Vishal left his role conducting neuroimaging analyses in the Valcour Lab to begin medical school at ATSU in summer 2018. Rodrigo Sandoval
In the Valcour Lab, Rodrigo worked on the HIV Elders study and he now attends medical school at USC. Jen Daniels

Derek Ochi
In the Valcour Lab, Derek helped coordinate the acute HIV-infection study and he now attends medical school at Tuoro University California. Pardis Esmaeili
Pardis left the Valcour Lab in May 2016 to enroll in the UCSF/SFSU Doctor of Physical Therapy Program.
Brandon ImpBrandon returned to New Jersey for his fourth year at Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School. He continues to collaborate with the lab and plans to return to San Francisco after graduation.
Collin Adams
Collin left the Valcour Lab at the end of 2015 to attend an immersive software engineering bootcamp with MakerSquare.
Lauren Wendelken
Lauren joined the Memory and Aging Center at UCSF in 2010 and helped manage the lab. Lauren and her family have moved back to New York where she hopes to pursue work in editing.
Katherine Clifford
At the Valcour Lab, Katherine helped coordinate the pediatric HIV neuroimaging study (SEARCH 012). Katherine is now enrolled in medical school at University of Vermont. Akash Desai
While with the Valcour lab, Akash coordinated the SEARCH 010 and SEARCH 012 projects. He has now gone on to medical school at the USC Keck School of Medicine. Nicholas HutchingsNicholas is pursuing a career in medicine at Columbia University's College of Physicians and Surgeons in New York.
Stephanie Catella
Dr. Catella now has her own private mindfulness based psychotherapy practice in San Francisco. Elijah MunElijah left the Valcour Lab in 2011 to attend medical school at the University of Arizona College of Medicine.
Stephanie Chiao
Stephanie joined the Valcour’s Lab in 2010 and worked on multiple protocols from Bangkok and completed a pilot study of everyday functional limitations associated with HIV over age 60. Stephanie is now completing her medical training at UCSF.
Krista NicolasIn the Valcour Lab, Krista coordinated the UCSF HIV Over 60 Cohort.
Ben RaudabaughBen went on to attend the Physician Assistant program at Columbia University in New York.
Edgar BusovacaIn 2014, Edgar moved to New York, where he now works in a neuropsychology lab at Columbia University in New York.
Michael TurkenAfter obtaining his Bachelor's degree, Michael coordinated Dr. Valcour's HIV Over 60 Cohort Study before moving on to medical school at UCSF.
